Worth It

I’ve used Bookyourdata a few times now for B2B lead lists, mainly for targeted outbound campaigns, and it’s actually been better than I expected. The filters are super granular - I can narrow down by industry, seniority, company size, even specific tech stack, which makes building a niche list way easier than buying random “bulk” lists.

The pay as you go thing is a big plus for me. I don’t need another monthly subscription, so being able to just buy credits when I have a campaign lined up fits how we work. Bounce rate has been low enough that I don’t feel like I’m throwing money away on junk data.

It’s not perfect, though. Some records feel a bit light on extra details (social profiles and direct dials), and the costs can climb quickly if you’re pulling big volumes. You still need a good warmup with a deliverability setup on your email side too — the tool doesn’t magically fix bad outreach. If you’re running targeted cold email and want a quick, clean list without DIY headaches, it’s been worth it for us.

Amazing

I’ve bounced between a bunch of to-do apps, but Todoist is the one that’s actually stuck for me. I use it for everything: work projects, errands, “remember to call my mom,” all of it lives there now.

The cross-device sync has been rock solid. I’ll throw a task in from my phone, clean it up on desktop later, and nothing goes missing. Still, it’s the only task manager that’s made me feel on top of life instead of constantly playing catch-up.

Thinkific

Good

I’ve been using Thinkific for my small online course business for several months now. It does a lot right, especially if you’re more of a “teach first, tech second” kind of person. Getting my first course up was pretty painless: upload videos, add lesson text, drop in a quiz, hit publish. My students rarely ask for help finding things, which tells me the layout is intuitive enough.

Where it feels just fine and not mind-blowing is on the design and marketing side. The course player looks fine but not particularly customizable, and the page builder is a bit limiting if you’re fussy about branding or want really polished sales pages. I also ended up using other tools for email and funnels.

On the plus side, payments, coupons, bundles, and student progress tracking all work reliably, and I don’t worry about the tech when launching a new cohort. If you want a dependable place to host and deliver courses without wrestling with plugins or custom code, Thinkific does the job well. Just don’t expect it to replace a full marketing stack or a dedicated website builder.

ActiveCampaign

Amazing

ActiveCampaign has kind of become my “control center” for email and automations.

I mostly use it for newsletters, funnels, and simple CRM stuff. The automation builder is the best part – you can set up sequences like “if they click this, send that” without going insane. Once you understand how it works, it’s super powerful and saves a lot of time.

It’s not perfect. The interface can feel a bit cluttered and there are a lot of menus. When I first logged in, I was pretty lost and had to watch a few tutorials to get the hang of it. Also, it does get pricey as your list grows, so it’s not really for hobby projects.

But when it’s set up, it just runs. New leads get tagged, added to the right list, sent the right emails, and I don’t have to babysit anything. Our open rates and sales sequences are way better organized than before.

If you’re just sending a monthly newsletter, this is probably too much. But if you’re serious about automations and want email + basic CRM in one place, ActiveCampaign is honestly a solid choice.

Amazing tool for managing and creating PDFs! The pricing makes sense for the amount of features you get and you can also sign of PDFs like you would on Docusign etc. Very recommended.

Very good platform for selling online courses you create, it's competes with Thinkific very well in my opinion, and it's built to be much more easy to get up and running then Thinkific.
