1. Who We Are

digitalproductsdp.com is operated by Digital Products Tech LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company with principal address 30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801 ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). We are the data controller for personal information collected through the Site and our emails. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

2. Scope

This policy applies to visitors to the Site, email subscribers, waitlist signups, and people who submit forms or messages to us. It does not cover third-party websites we link to. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them.

3. Information You Provide

When you subscribe to updates or join a waitlist, we collect your email address and the source of your signup. When you submit business feedback, we collect your name, work email, company, role, and the content of your message. When you use the contact page, we collect your name, email address, and message content.

If paid subscriptions are offered in the future, billing will be handled by a third-party payment processor. We will not store full credit or debit card numbers on our systems.

4. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the Site, we collect technical data including IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URLs, and timestamps. This data is collected through server logs and privacy-respecting analytics. We use it to operate the Site, maintain security, debug issues, and understand aggregate usage patterns.

5. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies. The only persistent cookie we set is a signed administrative session cookie used by site administrators. It is never set for normal visitors. We set no advertising cookies and run no third-party ad trackers.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking our cookies does not affect normal reading of the Site.

6. Public Discussion Data

Our sentiment features collect publicly available posts and comments about software products from public platforms such as Hacker News and YouTube. This includes post text, author handle as published on the source platform, engagement counts, timestamps, and source URLs.

This data is processed with AI-assisted classification through service providers under contract to produce aggregate sentiment metrics, theme analyses, and related outputs. We display short excerpts linked to the original public source under fair use principles. This processing serves journalistic, analytical, and editorial purposes based on our legitimate interests in reporting on public conversation about software products.

Public discussion data is kept separate from subscriber and submission data. It is not combined with your email, account, or form submissions. If a public post of yours appears on the Site and you object, contact us and we will review your request promptly.

7. How We Use Information

We use personal information for the following purposes: delivering content and emails you request; responding to submissions and feedback; operating, securing, debugging, and improving the Site; measuring aggregate usage; preventing fraud and abuse; complying with applicable law; and, with appropriate notice, launching new features or services.

We do not sell your personal information.

8. Legal Bases (EEA and UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process personal information on the following legal bases. Consent applies to marketing emails, which you may withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Legitimate interests apply to security, privacy-respecting analytics, and processing of public discussion data for journalistic and analytical purposes, balanced against your rights. Contract applies where processing is necessary to provide services you request. Legal obligation applies where we must comply with applicable law.

9. How We Share

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as described below.

We share information with service providers who process data on our behalf under contracts that limit their use of the data. Current categories and examples include: cloud hosting and delivery (Vercel); database and storage (Supabase); AI processing for classification and content workflows (Anthropic); and email delivery providers. We may also disclose information when legally required, in connection with a merger or asset sale where this policy continues to apply, or with your direction.

10. International Transfers

We operate from the United States. If you access the Site from the EEA, UK, or elsewhere outside the US, your information is processed in the United States. Our service providers rely on recognized transfer safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, where required by applicable law.

11. Retention

Subscriber email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe, then removed from active mailing lists within 30 days. Feedback and contact submissions are kept while under review and as needed for operational records. Server logs are rotated on short cycles. Aggregate sentiment metrics and public discussion archives are retained long term as analytical records of public information.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights. Under the GDPR, you may have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. California residents have rights under the CCPA to know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected (described in sections 3, 4, and 6 of this policy), to delete, to correct, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined), and to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

We honor Global Privacy Control signals where required by law. To exercise your rights, contact us through the contact page. We verify requests using the email address associated with your data and respond within the time required by applicable law. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of authorization.

13. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it upon notice.

14. Security

We use reasonable safeguards including encryption in transit, signed administrative sessions, least-privilege access to production data, separation of public-data processing from personal data, and reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

15. Data Breaches

If a data breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and regulators as required by applicable law.

16. Email Choices

Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link. You may also contact us to opt out. We may still send transactional or legally required messages related to services you use.

17. Third-Party Links

The Site links to external websites that have their own privacy policies and practices. We are not responsible for them. Review those policies before providing personal information to third parties.

18. Changes

We may update this policy by posting a revised version on this page with a new date. Material changes may be flagged on the Site. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
